Business & Technology Delivery

Complex work, made clear.

We turn ambiguous, high-stakes initiatives into structured, documented, delivered outcomes — across integrations, data and reporting, workflows, and products.

What Business IQ Does

Five connected capabilities across the life of an initiative.

Not a menu of services — one continuous discipline that carries work from an unclear starting point through a validated, documented result.

01

Business Analysis & Solution Definition

Define the work, create clarity, and translate needs into clear requirements. Align stakeholders around a shared understanding of the problem and the solution.

02

Project & Technical Project Management

Structure the delivery and move the project forward. Coordinate business, engineering, data, and vendor teams from concept through implementation — with clear status reporting at every level, from working teams to executive stakeholders.

03

Data, Reporting & Workflow Modernization

Connect systems, modernize pipelines and reporting, and rework operational workflows so information is accurate, reconciled, and usable.

04

Quality Assurance & Documentation

Validate the solution and leave behind durable documentation — test plans, process maps, and requirements that outlast the engagement.

05

Product, Game & Experience Development

Take products and games from concept through prototype — connecting business intent, design, and technology into something people can use and play.

How Business IQ Works

The schedule is the easy part. The hard part is everything around it.

Projects rarely stall on the timeline — they stall on ambiguity, misalignment, and the things no one wrote down. Business IQ does the quiet, difficult work of turning that mess into something structured, agreed, and executable.

Stakeholders who each want something different

One shared, agreed definition of done

Requirements that only live in people's heads

Surfaced, documented, and validated

Business and technical teams talking past each other

A shared language both sides act on

Undocumented processes and tribal knowledge

Mapped, repeatable, and owned

Scope that drifts the moment reality hits

Re-grounded without losing momentum

No clear read on where things actually stand

Status that's visible at every level — team, stakeholder, and executive

Change people quietly resist

Adoption that actually sticks

How a project runs

Every engagement runs to a plan.

Six phases, sequenced and overlapped along the timeline — because real delivery doesn't wait for each stage to fully finish before the next begins.

  1. 1Define
  2. 2Design
  3. 3Build
  4. 4Test
  5. 5Transition
  6. 6Deploy

Change Enablement

Report changes, delivered efficiently and repeatably.

Reporting is never done — requirements shift, sources change, and new questions arrive. Change enablement turns ongoing report changes into a repeatable process instead of a fire drill: scoped, built, tested, communicated, and adopted the same way every time — so the business can keep changing reporting with confidence.

  1. 01

    Intake & impact analysis

Every requested change is scoped against its source data and the downstream reports it touches — so nothing breaks silently.

  2. 02

    Coordinated build & test

Changes are delivered on governed pipelines and validated against source before anyone relies on them.

  3. 03

    Communication & training

Stakeholders and users are brought along — meetings, email and Teams updates, and short how-to videos.

  4. 04

    Defect & status tracking

Issues are logged, tracked, and resolved, with status clear at every level — team, stakeholder, and executive.

  5. 05

    A repeatable playbook

The same enablement plan is reused across reports and rollouts, so each change gets faster and more predictable.

The same playbook runs on every change — so each one gets faster, cleaner, and more predictable than the last.

Selected Work

Anonymized engagements, real outcomes.

A curated sample across three areas. Details are generalized to protect client confidentiality — no client names, systems, or figures are disclosed.

ERP implementation — technical project management

Challenge

A new ERP had to go live with seven system integrations and a full reporting layer, coordinated across finance, operations, and vendor teams on a fixed timeline.

Role

Technical Project Manager

End-to-end technical project management: sequencing and coordinating all seven interfaces, reporting requirements, environments, QA/UAT, cutover, and change enablement.

Outcome

A controlled go-live with all seven integrations and reporting validated and reconciled — dependencies mapped, risks managed, and the business carried through adoption.

Custom data platform & BI modernization

Challenge

Reporting was scattered across manual Access, Excel, and legacy tools that were slow to produce and impossible to trace to source.

Role

Business Analyst & Delivery Lead

Reporting requirements, delivery coordination, and validation for a consolidated data platform and governed reporting portfolio across payroll, finance, job cost, and workforce — plus the change enablement to move teams onto it.

Outcome

Legacy reports retired in favor of governed, automated dashboards — trusted, traceable, and fed from centralized data.

Line-of-business apps replacing spreadsheets

Challenge

Core operations — invoicing, work-in-progress, PTO, and payroll adjustments — ran on manual spreadsheets, legacy Access, and undocumented know-how.

Role

Business Analyst & Delivery Lead

Requirements, delivery coordination, and rollout of low-code applications with approvals, controls, and reporting — from discovery through go-live, including testing and change enablement.

Outcome

Governed internal applications that standardized the work, made it auditable, and retired the workarounds they replaced.

Product & Game Work

Product, game, and brand engagements.

The same delivery discipline carries into product and game work — from concept and rules through prototyping, playtesting, and production.

Game

Before the Tide

“The thousand-year-old Viking game, with a clock.”

A two-player Viking strategy game — asymmetric factions on a 7×7 board, movement cards, a tide countdown, and multiple paths to victory.

Activities

  • Concept and design direction
  • Rulebook and card systems
  • Iconography and component specs
  • Playtesting and balance QA

Game

Starborn

“Your star. Your secret.”

A social strategy and secret-identity card game built around colors, celestial signs, shapes, and prize and poison tokens — with two rule sets, Orbital and Cosmic.

Activities

  • Concept and design direction
  • Rulebook and 50-card core design
  • Digital playtest simulator
  • Iterative playtesting and balance QA

2–6 players · ~15 min

App

Fresh Catch Daily

“Fresh seafood, direct to your door.”

A direct-to-consumer fresh seafood and caviar brand — brand positioning, premium imagery, recipes, packaging concepts, storefront, and an OCR-driven invoice-to-fulfillment pipeline.

Activities

  • Brand and product positioning
  • Storefront build (Next.js / Medusa.js)
  • Catch-weight billing & logistics design
  • Invoice OCR & fulfillment pipeline

Prototypes & experiments

Pickleball AI Coach

Concept prototype

An AI concept prototype that ingested players' match videos and returned personalized feedback, tips, and advice.

Work also spans a hand-management strategy card game, plus game production and QA — rulebooks, card systems, iconography, component specs, and playtesting.

About Business IQ

A practice built to make complex work executable.

Business IQ takes complicated, unclear, or struggling initiatives and turns them into structured, executable, well-documented, delivered solutions.

It sits between business consulting, technology delivery, product development, project leadership, and quality assurance — connecting business intent to technical reality and carrying the work through to a validated result.

The focus is heavy on migration and integration work and on prototyping: defining the work, aligning stakeholders, translating needs into requirements, structuring the delivery, validating the solution, and moving the project forward.
